The Last Exorcism

I assume that everyone knows Emily Rose - the controversial character of a "possessed girl" in the movies Exorcism and The Exorcism of Emily Rose (documentary film). Now 2010, here comes the The Last Exorcism being produced by ELI ROTH and wherein Cotton Marcus has to save the life of his crew and the suffering girl before its too late.

The movie stars Patrick Fabian, Iris Bahr Louis Herthum and directed by Daniel Stamm.

Here’s a synopsis/summary of what to expect from this upcoming Lionsgate film:

When he arrives on the rural Louisiana farm of Louis Sweetzer, the Reverend Cotton Marcus expects to perform just another routine “exorcism” on a disturbed religious fanatic. An earnest fundamentalist, Sweetzer has contacted the charismatic preacher as a last resort, certain his teenage daughter Nell is possessed by a demon who must be exorcised before their terrifying ordeal ends in unimaginable tragedy.

The film is the 24-year-old Ashley Bell's first leading movie role. She was previously best known for a recurring role on Showtime's series "The United States of Tara." Bell comes from a family of actors; her father, Michael Bell, has been doing voices on cartoons like "G.I. Joe" and "The Smurfs" since the 1970s, and her mother, Victoria Carroll, was a founding member of Hollywood's renowned improvisational comedy troupe, The Groundlings. Bell used both her vocal and improv skills in her audition, acting out an exorcism on the spot and nailing the role.

Really, the actress is looking scary and you can't believe that there is no special effect on the photo as shown above. She twist her back to portray a very scary image of being possessed. Watch it on theater this 27 August 2010 (USA) and be petrified!
